Fun thread. Glad I stumbled on it. Will be posting regularly. Curious what people’s overview stats/distributions are. Is it cool to share that or is this strictly daily results?

Welcome to the thread!

There are some excellent Wordle players here. We usually only post daily results but, as mentioned, some occasionally share their overall stats.

I post the NYT Average & distribution of scores for each Wordle puzzle daily so that you can see where you stand relative to others each day.

I record my personal results & also keep track of the NYT Average & the WordleBot score for each puzzle on a spreadsheet.

Since November 7, 2022, the Overall NYT Average & WordleBot Average Scores are 3.93 & 3.40 respectively. So, if your average is within these 2 numbers, you're doing very well.

November 7, 2022 is significant because it was the date that the NYT 1st appointed an "editor" to select words used for the game, instead of relying on the word/answer list that it inherited from the creator of the game when the NYT bought it.

I started playing Wordle in Dec 2021 & have played every game retroactively going back to the original Game #1; all 1146 of them to date. However, I consider the 3 month period between Dec 2021-Feb 2022, as a "training period" & I do not share those results because they were simply awful.

I play Wordle much better now. LOL!
