I had six other words that I came up with, but the two I thought most likely had been used before, three are used in English but are actually from another language and two of those were uncommon and obscure. This one seemed the most likely against the least obscure foreign weird.

The foreign words I thought of were GULAG, KULAK, and HALAL, but KULAK was definitely too obscure, and GULAG I was pretty sure was too obscure. I also thought of LILAC, SALAD, and SPLAT as likely, but unfortunately they were already used, leaving me between ATLAS and HALAL.
