Note: For those of you who use a Wordle "Previously Used Words List", if you aren't aware of it yet, the NYT recently announced that the Wordle editor will begin re-using previously used words starting tomorrow, Monday 2/2/2026.

See: Wordle Just Confirmed A Major Change

So, the used word lists will still be useful but not necessarily decisive in eliminating possible choices.

I expect that someone will develop a "twice used Wordle word list" in due course & that it would be unlikely (albeit possible) for the Wordle editor to use a word more than twice at this point.

I didn't consult a previously used word list in solving this puzzle. Wouldn't have helped anyway because neither word had been used before. 🤷‍♂️

Interesting; thanks for the update.
Maybe this will even the playing field. Not that I'm competitive or anything, but I can't help comparing my scores to the NYT Average, and assume lots of people are using the list.

Note: The NYT has allowed the Wordle Editor to start reusing previously used words beginning today.

Interestingly, the word she chose to use for the puzzle today was, in fact, was the 1st word used when Wordle 1st started on June 19, 2021 with Game #0.

You can find a chronological list (in reverse order) of all past Wordle answers used, including today's, here: https://wordfinder.yourdictionary.com/wordle/answers/

So, don't look until you solved today's puzzle. LOL!!!
