On Playing Wordle . . .

2 choices after 2 & 3. Chose a word that was not used b4 after 2, chose a word that was used before after 3.

NYT Average: 4.4
Distribution: 2.0% in 2; 12.4% in 3; 42.8% in 4; 79.3% in 5; 95.5% in 5
Par 5

The only reason this was a Par 5 was because the answer was a word that was used before. 🀬

I think that a lot of people -- including me -- may STOP playing Wordle because of this "problem." The better approach would have been to start an entirely new Wordle game from scratch rather than continue the game by allowing the re-use of words which confuses & just f*cks up everything.

Not a happy Wordle player, here. πŸ₯Έ

I just assumed many players would change how they play by not looking at lists anymore. To each their own.

I haven't been scoring well lately, and I don't even have an excuse since I never have consulted lists.

60 choices after 1 & only 1 after 2 but still needed another guess.

I still play it most days. It’s one of those quick morning puzzles that somehow turns into a longer thinking session than expected

Covering vowels early definitely helps. I usually start with one balanced word, then adjust based on the feedback instead of sticking to a fixed pair. Double letters are what catch me out more often than anything else.

If I’m really blanking, I’ll sometimes glance at a generic 5-letter word list just to jog my brain on possible letter patterns (not the actual answer). There are plenty around I’ve used wordfindertips before for that but most of the time I try to solve it straight.

Fun little game either way.
