? on the Cold Steel Chaos Push Dagger.. Update: Got one!

I placed my last Cold Steel purchases, (the Chaos push daggers), into this glass topped shadow box.
I mulled over some other CS products for possible purchases, but nothing else has bit my attention enough for me to bite on any of them.
I guess I'll see if they come up with any "must haves" for 2022... But for now, I'm all set 👍😉👍

I had purchased my two Chaos Push Daggers/Knives online via Knifecenter.
I don't always leave feedback/reviews, but do on items that I felt exceptionally happy upon receiving them, and on items I felt the disappointment was worth sharing.
Anyhow, my review of my initial impressions of this Cold Steel Chaos push dagger consisted of similar information/opinion that I have shared here on this forum thread.
My review at Knifecenter was the first for this product, my having given it 3 out of 5 stars.
There is now a second review put up over there by another customer, he having given this product a 2 out of 5 star rating.
He too was not thrilled with the two "striker studs" being made of plastic. One of them apparently broke at the threading while screwing them in, (they don't come attached from the manufacturer). He also states that he has not yet heard back from Cold Steel after having called them for a replacement of the striker stud.
I found another review on another online vendor website, and that review was also a low rating for this product.

I stand in my opinion/guess that this product may not be something that CS offers for very long. I would be surprised if it makes it into the 2022 line up. Maybe they will reverse their decision to use the plastic studs, which could help the product out a bit, but would likely not be enough to save it.
I guess we shall see.

I will guess it will go DoDo Bird even faster than the other three previously discontinued Chaos series products, (they being the Chaos Kukri, Stiletto, and Tanto). The Chaos Trench Dagger seems to have done well for Cold Steel. And, the Chaos Bowie seems to be holding strong, at least for now. But, this Chaos Push Knife?... It may have a market lifespan of the common house fly, lol! 😆
They going with it's large synthetic handle & synthetic striking knobs, are likely going to be the biggest complaints made about this product.
All the prior Chaos series had used aluminum handles with 1055 steel striking knobs... and now comes this plastic galore transition. Nope... I HIGHLY doubt it will become a good seller.

Thanks for sharing, buddy! 👍

As for the video itself, I know we won't all have the same opinion(s) about it. That's how it should be, since we are all individuals.
With that said, I must admit that I found it to be a terribly executed review. I don't even know where to begin on where it went wrong... It's simply screams out as being a low end amateur video review, and cringe worthy when one thinks that it's someone that actually now represents the company.
Again, the guy may be an alright person... But, as a representative for the new Cold Steel? Well, let me just say... this decision to place him as one of the new faces for Cold Steel under new ownership, is already a sign that GSM has little clue as to what they got themselves into, and that they are terrible at decision making.

If I were to give this video a rating from 1 to 10, with 1 being the worst, and 10 being the best, then it may hit a 2... And that may be me being generous.

As I had mentioned before, these are bound to be poor sellers, and are soon likely to be found on many vendors clearance racks, (just to liquidate them out of their inventories). This will likely be seen even more-so if/when GSM puts them on the chopping block by years end, and then sells off their remaining inventories to vendors at bargain basement prices, (again, to liquidate their inventory).
Yup, I see this model only being this years offering, (just for 2021), and to the DoDo extinction list they will go. That will likely make it the fastest Chaos model to get axed, and so it's collectable status may actually be decent as time goes on. Why?... Because of it's short run and unique item status.
I'll likely keep my two specimens, since adding the model into my collection was my only goal in the first place.
I'm only missing having the Chaos Bowie, which I did place a backorder for, and it will complete my collection of the entire Chaos series, (if it actually ever arrives to me at some point).
🤞🤞
