On Wikipedia.

Actually it was not my writing that was infringing, it was Jeffmichaud's. Pardon me.

That would be me, Keith. I've actually been an active contributor on Wiki for years, and I'm quite familiar with the ins and outs. This guy Bielle is a narcissist douche-nozzle who's totally out of line. I did lift it right off the site, but he should have just discussed it on the discussion page. I was trying to get something up quick so it would fail the speedy deletion nomination. OOPs.

So if you look at the copyright vio tag, you'll see a link where you can write up whatever you want on the sub-page. It's located here. I don't know enough about the details to contribute anything more than is found on these "copyrighted" pages. Here's the thing though. They certainly can be used as references, and I think the first thing we need to do is *significantly* reword the "History" section to have all the info in there without it being a carbon copy of the Busse site, ya know? We have to do the same for an explanation of INFI. It shouldn't be that hard. I'm going to start working on it now. Jump on in though, cuz I don't know anymore than anyone else about the best content for the page. I just thought I'd help get it started.

Ok then, I think that the best info is from magazines and experts. There are lots of special things on a busse knife, the tubing in the handles and how they were designed to squash under great force is an example. i think that pictures would be nice, but i am nervous about uploading.

If you need content, why not just go back to your previous posts about the knives. You should be able to copy your own creations.

Yeah, but most of my posts are like "thats awesome! what are you going to chop?"

Resinguy is correct. Cliff Stamps research would be an excellent article to quote as a source. Dr. Ron Hood's review of the Steel Heart would be another excellent source. The best source of info would probably be Jerry Busse if he was interested in such a venture as a Wikipedia article. I have never written for Wikipedia and I never let my students use it for reference. It all seems a bit haphazard and the possibility for inaccuracy is too great. On the other hand it is always cool to read about and research Busse Combat. It is possible, however, that Bussecollector's site and Badmojo are quite sufficient and there is little to be gained by a Wikipedia piece. I guess it is a matter of opinion but I would consult Jerry before writing anything.

Yes there are knife mag write ups, I just dont have them or I'd use it to add content myself. They are perfect sources for an article; I wish I had a couple to use. I remember when I was first was trying to learn about Busse, I did go to Wikipedia cuz I wanted to know some basic stuff. Badmojo.tv doesn't have any details on the site besides the INFI write-up; it's mostly pics. There's still things about the old days I'd like to know about. I'd enjoy having them all gathered in one place.

i would like to know more about the pre-INFI days. There is some stuff on Bad Mojo in "odds and ends" but I think that a wiki article would be a fun compilation.

the main issue that could result in this page disappearing is stated on the tag on the top of the page: "This page may meet Wikipedia’s criteria for speedy deletion. The reason given is: It is an article about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content that does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject."

I think before pulling out too many other tid-bits, we have to establish the "significance" of the subject has to be established.

I think the tid-bits are the important part. It makes for something to learn, not something to buy.

That didn't take long:

13:50, 3 November 2007 SchuminWeb (Talk | contribs) deleted "Busse Combat" ‎ (Speedy deleted per (CSD A7), was an article about a company or corporation that didn't assert the importance or significance of its subject.. using TW)

I thought that might happen. I wish I had some free time to spend on it, cuz it's certainly a noteworthy article, we just didn't accomplish stating how. Usually its best to create articles in a Word document, and then paste it in whole and complete once you have a good start on it. I may do that, but I think the article should be titled "Busse Combat Knife Company", and create some redirects to it for Busse Combat and Jerry Busse. He's worthy of a bio article on his own, but again content is the key, and I just don't know where to find it all.

How about starting this on Google Docs? That way one person could start it and share it with anyone else who wanted to contribute, and then post it to wikipedia when it's ready.
