Once again I designed a knife without knowing what it’s good for

Vote #2 for ditching the guard... Save it for something down the road.. Put a nice micarta handle on it, shape it a bit and do a nice pocket sheath!!!! Will be sold in no time!!!!
Good luck!

I sit with pencil and paper and I draw knife profiles and sometimes I just draw what I think looks cool but I don’t think about what it would be good for. Case in point is in the picture below. Blade is 3 3/8" long and .101" thick.

What do you think? Now that it is ready for a handle if it had a handle what would you do with it?
If it is mine....................

Here’s where I’m at. Spacers are phenolics and the rest is stabilized ambrosia maple.

the sharpie marks show what the handle profile will look like. I don’t make stick tangs very often so this might look weird.

It may just be the camera angle, but if the handle/guard is higher than the spine of the blade, I would suggest grinding them down flush so you have a nice comfortable grip if you wish to place your thumb on the spine when cutting.

Seconded!

Now I’m tempted to grind the spine down and change the “clip” of the spine. What do y’all think

Oh man that's nice. I don't see it needing any changes.

Hey man, just wanted to say great job! I couldn’t make anything like that if I tried. I would buy it. What tools do you need to make knives? That’s really cool
