Once again, I'm back to the ParaMilitary 2

You're not alone. I haven't bonded with my PM2 quite like I have the Manix 2. Both awesome knives but, the Manix gets carried more. At the moment it's a take it or leave it knife for me so it stays stored. It was carried for about two weeks and I do keep trying to put it in my pocket but, it usually gets beat out.

Dunno if I'm right but I think I have observed that the people who prefer PM2's don't have much love for the manix 2 and vicey-versy...

The Manix is certainly a different animal... although it may not be by much, the Manix I had years ago seemed like a heavy-weight compared to the Para2.

Mine is the hollow ground g-10 so, 5oz? You're right though, the 3.9oz of the PM2 definitely feels much lighter, part of the reason I'm still holding on to it and want to carry it. Don't get me wrong, I love the PM2 and definitely see the appeal/get the "hype".

Gonna have to agree with the OP here. Carried a small Sebenza all last week, but today it's the PM2 made even more perfect with the addition of a bronzed spaceman clip. I'll pick up my CRKs and Hinderers and Striders and realize nothing cuts and handles like a Spyderco. The Gayle Bradley was my long time favorite Spyderco, but the PM2 has pulled back in the lead due to its weight and ergos.

What I didn't like about the Manix 2 was how wide it was in pocket plus all the jimping.

I always seem to come back to the PM2 as the perfect EDC. I have small and large Regular Sebenzas which I can't seem to part with, but I never carry them any more. PM2 just performs better for me. I have a few other choice Sydercos that I carry when the PM2 is too bulky or I'm around salt water, or in a situation where it's likely I could lose my knife, but I always miss my PM2. I've bought and sold (regret that) 3 or 4 of them, but these days I have a 204P version that has become my most frequently carried folder.

It's been my "one knife" ever since I got into knifes a few years ago. Welcome back!

Amazing collection.. One Day I need the Orange Scales.. I just ordered my first PM2 Digi Cam! Stoked. Looks like a promising build.

I like these threads because they help me try and like the PM2. I mean, it is a great design.....I just always get a "meh" feeling compared to my Manix 2, Military etc.

Someday maybe I will get it.

Failure to bond with a PM2 is a known congenital birth defect, easily corrected with minor brain surgery.

So how'd you fix that notchy feeling in the lock if I may ask? Mine too is gritty when trying to release the blade, not cool with that although I love the knife.i admit the Axis lock on my Benchmades feel like butter in comparison. Thanks

I carry two knives generally, one is always an Emerson in the RFP and in my LFP is usually one of my PM2s.

Great knife. Love index-flicking the blade out, and can close it within a second or two as well same-handed.

It's great to be able to open it, cut something and close it again within a few seconds. Just takes some initial practice.

It's like an old cowboy drawing, shooting, then spinning his old Colt single-action once and reholstering. Looks like you know what you are doing, and it's fun to do.

I know some love the Military over the PM2, but to me, the PM2 beats the military handily. Again, that's just me.

This seemed to work for me.

What angle are you running that thing at?

Good thread.
I recently got back into the Para but... I have moved on my Pacific Salt as my EDC. I have come to love serrations and NO rust to worry about.

For some reason I keep actively trying to find a knife to replace my plain old PM2 in my pocket but I can't seem to do it. I've bought and sold countless knives and always just end up sticking to the PM2. I'm very tempted to buy the elmax one but I'm not sure if even that can displace my plain old s30v model.
