One 15 Inch Ang Khola with Scrolled Buttcap

As part of the last shipment, I got a bunch of random khukuris with my regular order. (I'd asked Lalit to send me some khukuris that I hadn't ordered before). Among the bunch were this 15 inch Ang Khola (I'll post more as I get time).

This one has a scrolled buttcap, but is otherwise identical in fit, finish and construction to the rest of our khukuris. I think I'll start ordering these, as they are a nice alternative to the bhojpure.

I definitely think you should start ordering these. I would like to get one, but I can't afford it right now. Incidentally, any idea how thick the blade is on this khuk?
 
Steve: I think it's a clean 1/2 inch at the thickest point, with some thickness extending well down the blade. And when I say 1/2, I mean 1/2

Incidentally, I just finished emailing Lalit, and I let him know that I wanted to start carrying it as part of normal inventory, so you'll have plenty of chances in a month or so (without scrolled buttcap, I think).

Craig, since there's a possibility that the future khuks won't have the scrolled butcap, go ahead and send this one to me. I guess that's what credit cards are for -- and I can't thinkk of anything better to go into debt for than khukuris.
 
Steve, you got it! I don't know - I didn't want to get the scrolled buttcaps in because that's Bill's territory and I don't want to be rude. So you may in fact get the only scrolled-buttcap GH khukuri ever. Anyway, ENJOY!

BMW: Yeah, I don't want to be a cheese-ball. I was happy to get all of these samples in, and I'll probably start bringing in Ang Kholas in the 15 inch variety, but no scrolled buttcaps.
