Is there a dedicated appreciation thread for the glorious One Arm Bandit? If not I’d like to add one to get this thread started.

Completed this knife today. Gotta say I really loved making this one.

One-arm Bandit Barlow. Closed length is 3-5/8”

-Cpm-154 steel cryo treated to 61.5 Hrc. Blade as ground on a 24” radius rotary platen
-Antique Sambar Stag
-416 SS front bolster threaded and chamfered, 410 liners
-Blade rides on a bushing with copper washers (no mill relief)
-Seamless gaps and flush in all three. Centered. Pull about a 6. Action is buttery smooth. Mirror polished razor sharp edge

-Not for sale

Thanks for looking and I hope to see y’all’s Bandits.

Stunning knife sir! You’ve been rolling out some beauties lately 👍🏼.

Choice Stag and once again a very fine execution of an unusual yet important pattern. Blade opens out straight with no cant (droop) and the longpull is excellently sited. Proportions & aesthetics are spot on, just not my cup of tea this pattern but this is an impressive example.

Looking forward to your next piece of work

Thanks, Will

That is an outstanding example of a pattern that is part of knife history that thankfully is not in demand or need now as it once was . I do have one because I had always wanted one in my meager collection . I do not pretend that it is as nice as your fine example , but I like it .

Thanks again for noticing the finer details Will. I do try hard to get the aesthetics right. I’ve been failing less and less at it 😂

Thought I’d add one more cool factor picture. The idea was to get a perfect S-curve and get maximum blade length with the tip just shy of the blade well.

I love it!!!! I’ve always been a huge fan of the vintage Bulldog knives. My father Ed Kramp has a substantial collection of Bulldog knives so they hold a special place in my heart!!

Very nice!

Some excellent Appaloosa Bone on view, such an attractive scale wish more of it were on offer.

Thanks, Will
Indeed and thank you. In order to get this one I had to purchase three one arm Case knives together. The others are nice (stag and jigged bone) but this was the one I was after.

All excellent examples thanks for posting. I didn’t realize how shallow the pocket catch well is on some of the ones pictured. I thought it would be more challenging to hook onto your pocket. Guess it doesn’t take much to catch.
