One Becker for everything

Worst case is you can reprofile to look similar to a BK16 (even though you can just Buy a 16, lol. ;) )

It depends, are you looking for a "One Tool" option or a "One Knife" option

for one tool the BK7, mine has a Ramora that rides in the sheath

for a one knife option, the BK16 all day any day

One Becker and allowed to bring a smaller knife of another brand? (gasp!) BK-9.

One Becker to be used as your only knife? BK-2 or BK-12.

Much wisdom shared here.

One Becker for everything ????:confused::eek::eek::foot::foot:

Oh my!!!:(:(:(

4 or a 9 and Mora.
5 and a hatchet, camp ax and/or saw
Or just a BK-7 (or 2 or 10) though not my first choice if I could have more than one.

I really like this thread topic; it's the "Kobayashi Maru" test; Becker style. :p

Personally, if you aren't depending on the knife for wood processing except for light kindling and ounces count I'd say a 16 or 15 are easy to carry and can do a lot of tasks; if hiking camp tasks dominate and you are going to use it for slicing and not abusive tasks then my nod goes to 15 over the 16. ( get one while you can, they are a screaming deal right now)

On the other hand, if you will not have saws or hatchets then go big, 9 all the way. I know it's cheating (kobayashi maru time) but adding a small folding knife (Swiss army or small multi tool) covers the small blade and other basic tool tasks nicely, my personal preference is a Wenger S111 locking Swiss army, small enough to fit in an altoids can in the 9's sheath pouch and at only 2 ounces; you don't even know it's there.

Have fun.

BK-3

Because I want to break into the vault (prison) where all the other Beckers are hiding (being imprisoned, and wrongly I might add).

Hmmm, I don't got a 3 yet, hmmm......

There is no one BK that can do it all. If there was, there would only be the one BK. Having said that, some BKs come pretty close.

The BK16 is one that comes to mind........at least to my mind fairly often.

... Because you guys were worried about the tip breaking. no Batoning for my baby 15 :)

I wouldn't worry about the tip breaking. I was talking about how the trailing tip can chew through batons and can throw the knife at an angle. Neither of these are deal breakers. The 16's drop point just avoids these issues altogether.

I don't understand only carrying one Becker! Mine get lonely and like to travel in pairs! [emoji13]

Here's my favorites since you wanted pics:

But in all seriousness, the 16 or 9. Depends on if the forest needs chopping down or not.

This thread topic is like a terrible dream I would wake up from screaming in a cold sweat! 1 becker? No! I will not allow this tomfoolery to continue!!!

That being said, you can't not have a 9......so, my vote goes to the king. The 7 being a close runner-up, as it's a 9 that has been shrunk a tad. Plus, it can handle just about any job very well.

Now I'm in a worse( better) spot than before! I think I need to get all of them.......

If I was forced to pick just one....
It would be the Machax. Hands down.
