One blade + cap lifter - what are the options?

There are plenty of the Imperial shell-handled knives floating around (cheap too) like this old yellow one.

This Utica Kutmaster appears to be made from the parts of GSUSA knives - not sure the date, but the green handles are Delrin. OH

I've heard mention of what some have called the "Beerlow". Barlow with caplifter for secondary blade. I don't have one, but love Barlow's, so it's probably inevitable if I find one for the right price sometime. I do have a Barlow with a razor for secondary blade. I don't drink beer, but I do shave, so it just seemed like the best alternative for my first non-standard two bladed Barlow. ;)

Hey, the search worked for me this time. Here's a thread with pics.

Neat knife. Does it say "shields" on the shield?

Roger that, Jake. Charlie (Noyes) researched, to no avail. I researched, possibly a advertisement knife for a Shields Magazine (outdoorsy, fishing/hunting/conservation) from the early 1900's. Kind of funny though, a shields shield. I doubt it was Brooke Shields', darn.:D

I believe Philllll has one of these (Robeson), and a number of other oh-so-awesome caplifter knives. Calling the King of Caplifters!

You guys are just great :) It seems that the GEC #15 pops out most of the time. I am also aware of the Robert Klaas knife (there even was a damascus version), it is just a little larger than what I would prefer at 4.25" closed. The GEC radio knife looks about perfect, but hard to find.

Thanks for the reference for the Beerlow - that is very close to what I have in mind. I really like the barlow pattern and adding a cap lifter seems like a logical step ;) I noticed that Evan (esnyx) did some custom Beerlows as well as some modified ones, that could be just the ticket.

I believe GlennBad has done some TL-29 conversions, changing the driver to a lifter.

Edit to add:
If you are handy, you could always mod your own from the screwdriver blade on a TL-29. This is one I did, they work quite well.

RobbW, beauties for sure. And sharp! Whatever you use to get that edge, I wish I had/knew how.

Ceramic stone and a strop likely. It seems to resemble the mirror quality I am able to get on my Beckers (a variation of 1095), but that is just my perception.

But as far as I am concerned, once an edge is That polished, it is too hard to differentiate between a 10k stone or 16k prior to a strop with a naked eye.

I do agree that it is Great looking though.

GEC needs to do a run of crown lifter with clip main like they did for the beer scout, except with a lanyard hole to vary it a bit, and with multiple scale options.

I'd be in for a few! :D

Another good knife is the SAK rambler. It may not meet your criteria for two overall blades, but is small enough (classic SAK size) to where that shouldn't matter, and available now in Red and ALOX. The caplifter is small but a very efficient nonetheless. Still takes about two attempts on the cap but SAK nailed the design for its overall compact size:

Count me in as well!
It would be nice to have one a bit larger. Pull the hook/spey out of the 48 frame and swap in a cap lifter.

Big clip (from the single, not the muskrat clip), check!
Dog leg for comfort, check!
Scales changed easily enough, check!
Slim enough to disappear next to a wallet, check!

Regarding the scales, they already offer the 48 frame in micarta, delrin, bone, stag and various woods and acrylics...

A man can dream, can't he?

I am partial to the Victorinox Waiter. The cap lifter also opens cans. The corkscrew on the backside means you can get into any style of container. Did I mention the screwdriver? Neat package.

... - what are the options (apart from custom knives) that offer single (preferably clip point) blade and a cap/crown lifter?
Another option is the USA-made Camillus What-A-Knife. You can still find them like new for $20-$30 if you watch for them.

I hope no one objects to me reviving a 9½ year old thread. I found it while trying to find out more about this knife and thought I would share a photo:
