I just want to see if any members here are like me...I have develope a habit of keep one blade in my pocket for EDC...I don't share that pocket with anything else. No key, changes, flashlight...just the blade...

My other pockets....for keys and why not is okay. But if my blade is in my one pocket...no sharing. I think this is the reason why I can maintain my knives so good condition...don't you guys think if you throw in key & coins ...easy scratches to your blade!

I don't like to carry a lot of stuff in my pockets, I don't like having bulging pockets weighted down with stuff that jingle and feel like they're swinging back and forth when I walk.

For my flashlight and folder I use a needle and thread and add rows of stitches going up the inside of my pockets to divide them into separate compartments. I don't like larger items like a flashlight or pocket-knife to be loose in my pockets and fall flat to the very bottom. I also don't like keys or coins getting through the open backspace in my folders. When I slide my folder and flashlight into their designated compartments they stay put.

Yep CS Black Rock Hunter in my back right pocket ;) for the same reason you said, keeps it lookin clean

I do the same thing, with the exception of anytime I have my cell phone in my rright rear pocket; since it has a leather case, I don't worry about clipping something like my mini-grip in the same pocket.

I've done that for almost 60 years. Nothing's ever gone in my knife pocket except my knife. Keys and a wallet are the only other things I carry in pockets anyway and I have enough pockets so they can all have one of their own.

I usually keep my knife in my back pocket next to my wallet. I think I started doing that because I work in a kitchen and usually have an apron on so the back pocket is easiest but I think it also helps keep my blades looking good since there is nothing hard or sharp to gouge em on.

Knife and keys all together, I carry a few knives on my person at time so with the exception of my custom slipjoints and a few pearl scaled folders, (which sit in pocket sheaths) everything knocks around together. Then again I don't abuse my blades but I'm not afraid to use 'em either.

Funny question - never really thought about it.
But I don't mix either-knife right-keys left.

Not sure I would even carry a knife If I were to worry this much. Heck, I don't even try to sew buttons back on my clothes except in a dire emergency. Maybe you could make a custom "money belt" to wear under your belt line so you would not have to modify all your pants. (just kidding here, don't take me to serious)

All of my knives are users, and as such, they are thrown in with what ever else is in my right front pocket. (keys, coins, rocks, frogs, etc.) I look at any scratches and dings as "character marks". I don't re-sell them or buy as an investment other than for my entertainment. If I get tired of one, I just give it to someone that can get some more use out of it. Just my way of doing it.

Blessings,

Omar

I keep my Buck Custom Knife Shoppe 501 in jigged Asian buffalo in my front right pocket, banging against keys, Zippo, and other stuff. :D

Keys and knife usually hangout together. a couple nicks and scratches here and there don't bother me so much.

I carry my folders clipped in my righthand pocket so they aren't down in the bottom of my pocket. I sometimes have my cellphone in that pocket too but they don't interfere with each other.

With my knife clipped in my pocket I can't reach all the way into that pocket to pull anything out so for that reason I don't use that pocket for anything else. The cellphone can be removed by reaching in with a couple of fingers only so that works fine. With the sharp gimping on some Spydercos and the sharkstooth thumbstuds on the Blur, I learned not to try to reach into that pocket.

My knives made it quite clear that they will share the pocket with nothing else.

Clipped or in a slipcase- knife gets its own pocket. Only exception is if a pair of pants have a watch/coin pocket for the knife to sit in separately

Not me, the only things that get their own pocket are my wallet and phone. My wallet goes in the back right, anything else in there with it just feels awkward. Phone goes in the front left, and nothing else goes in there so I don't scratch anything (don't like cases or screen protectors), also my current phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which I'm sure many of you know is a monstrosity of a smart phone with a 5.5" screen so honestly nothing else fits in that pocket. My main knife is always clipped to my front right pocket with all of my other crap (keys, lighter, flashlight, change, etc) at the bottom of the pocket. Depending on which flashlight I'm carrying and which pants I'm wearing my flashlight will sometimes be clipped to my back left pocket alone. So really, I guess my knife is generally the only part of my daily gear that DOESNT get its own pocket...lol.

Phone left pocket, cards cash in a rubber band in right pocket to make room for 4" folder. Single house key, single car key loose. Work tac pants cr123 flashlight in the cellphone pocket. Off work in jeans small 10440 light in right pocket. All metal sinks to the bottom doesn't come in contact with knife.
