Another thing to remember is that Busse and RAT target different audiences.
RAT is going for the guy who wants a working knife, at a working man's price, and is tired of having to buy crap knives that won't take an edge, won't hold an edge, chip, roll or break if you fart near them, and have crappy sheaths. Basically take everything that sucks about affordable knives, do the opposite and you have RAT Cutlery. As much as it shocks me, people even whine about the RAT prices. Yeah, they cost more than a Ka-Bar or the big O, but for that price you probably won't ever have to replace it, and if you do, you won't have to pay for it.
Busse targets the collectors, investors, and high-end users.
So, unless you are one of the very few who are likely to need to use their knife to punch through steel or concrete, pry open a bunker, or some odd thing, you're buying it to flip later for more than you paid, or you wanna. Most buy them because they wanna.
So I guess, thinking in terms of availability, if there's a Busse you REALLY want that's available and you can afford it, buy it now, the RATs will be here tomorrow, too.
