One day I'll find an Emerson Rhino

The elusive Rhino. I've only ever seen one for sale, but the price was not posted since it had already been sold. It's definitely a cool design with specific intent to the blade shape. Maybe, one day, a production Rhino will be a limited edition model. Stranger and less likely things have happened. But it probably won't.

Maybe you guy should lobby EKI TO DO A RUN, to satisfy the demand for a Rhino.

That would be a limited run that would sell quickly. Same can be said about the CQC-9 in regards to aggressive blade designs from Mr. Ernest Emerson.

Just for those that dont know, I'm pasting pictures below. I found these using Google images.

I would be all over a CQC-9 if EKI did a limited run.

Good luck. Most of the rhinos that are sold are between friends and never actually hit the market. The one that was listed I think that's what happened to it, went to a suspect I believe. To the tune of around 6,500 or so.

a production run of that CQC9 would be a dream come true. if i could get one in all black for less than $250 shipped i would be a happy man.

Maybe Ernie will hear the cry for Rhino 's, and do a in of 100 to satisfy those who want the grail.

We can only hope, especially given the new special runs there starting to do.
But I would suspect that the rhino is too "purpose driven" to ever make it into production though imho

My best guess is that Mr. Emerson will release production Rhino's and 9's on the same day he releases production 6's

Well Mr. Emerson is a business man, lets say if the numbers make dollars & cents. I will expect to see some limited runs of things that sell, and customers want to purchase.

Your best bet is to get a Commander and have it ground to a Rhino style blade. Original ones go for big bucks. There were only a few (3 if I remember correct).

I wouldn't do a poboy. I think the Commander has more meat on the blade to replicate the recurve. I've seen a few Rhino grinds on commanders but can't say I've seen one on a 8. I'm sure it could be done though.

There is no recurve on the rhino. I think you are referring to the cqc-9.

The Rhino has the serrations on top of an upswept blade.
