One deciding factor that can kill a knife purchase for you

Yeah I forgot about my distaste for assisted knives.

My preferences​ are pretty simple.

Blade length 3.5" or less, preferably around 3".

Wood, G-10, FRN, or other non metal scales.

Flipper or Spydie hole, though certain thumbstuds are ok.

Locking mechanism other than frame lock. I've enough frame locks already, and don't care for it.

Utilitarian blade shape, no tantos, multi grind, karambit, etc. Wharncliffe, drop point, leaf blade.

Tip up clip. Mandatory.

No Chinese steel or S30V.

Non-tactical
