you may have one knife, and only one knife. It may not be a multi tool, and lets do one with a 200$ price cap and one without a price cap so you can all say a sebenza, then list something more interesting.

So long as it is a single blade, and only a blade, it may be a folder, a fixed blade, a balisong, or whatever you like, but not something like a bowie that you would be immediately hassled for carrying in public.

Small Regular Sebenza for the over $200

Spyderco Caly 3 for the under $200

Those two are nearly perfect for me.

The not yet released Spyderco Stretch 2 in CF and ZDP 189 with a 3.5 inch ( appx) non laminated, flat ground blade, plain edge. A slicer/cutter supreme.

or:

Spyderco Endura FRN, newest edition with liners. Either ZDP or VG10. Serrated. I've been carrying an Endura since they've been released and always have one where legal of course.

Alternate: Military Sprint run with BG42, and peel ply CF grips. One of the best, most well balanced knives I've ever had. I bought an extra for later. Joe

MT SOCOM. Best prod. knife ever made especially the 98 years. keepem sharp

For folders, I've only held a few so I'm only going by that limited scope:

- Strider SNG
- Spyderco Manix (including the Mini)

In a folder, probably a BM 940 in D2 if they had ever made them...
For a fixed blade, my BRKT Journeyman with custom handle.

David

For the over $200, I am going to pick a Rick Hinderer XM-18. And under $200, Nemesis Knives Arch Ally.

It would have to be a 4 in blade, something like D2, fixed blade, comfortable handle. Probably a kydex or hard leather sheath. I'm sure someone out there makes exactly that with a wide drop point blade. Right price range though? Maybe a thicker bladed Bark River with D2 instead of A2?

A good fixed blade with a 5 inch blade. Stainless, with stabilized wood handles.

Probably that... I love the look of the first one, but 2 obviously has higher quality materials (carbon fiber lol), does it look like the first one though (SS handles with carbon fiber inserts instead of that other stuff)?

It occurred to me that I havent listed mine:

over 200: DDR Gunhammer MT
under 200: I may go with a benchmade bali since I plan on becoming proficient with one, and butterflies are objectively the coolest knives when used well.

Under: Spyderco James A. Keating Chinook II, hollow grind and combo edge

Over: Large Classic Sebenza, partially serrated
