. . . it depends. A large Sebenza has been my EDC for 12 years now. It's the stoutest folder out there at ANY price, built to bank vault specs. If you ever think you'll be in the position to trust your life with how your knife performs, absolutely, the Sebenza is the right choice.
Incidentally, my philosophy (however twisted it may be) is to scrimp on quazi-perishables (even clothes, vehicles, computers, certainly food), and splurge on things I'll have for decades or things that appreciate -- hand & power tools, houses, etc. The Sebenza falls into the tool catagory for me.
The only reason I doubted going with a higher end knife for EDC is that I'm prone to losing things. Can't tell you how many pens I've regretted carrying . . . with the Sebenza, however, I put in place some habits (consistent carry spot, consistent storage spot with my wallet, consistent quick brush of the hand across my wallet and knife as I progress from place to place) that have not failed me but once. As I was rushing around getting ready to leave for the airport, I hastily chose a spot to keep the Sebenza apart from my wallet for "safe keeping". Returned a week later, and didn't remember where the safe place was. Found it after a couple months of dispair. . .
I submitted my Sebenza to be reconditioned by the CRK staff a couple years ago, and basically got back a brand new knife. I expect the same knife will be my EDC for another couple decades.
Good luck in your decision.
