If you guys and gals had to choose just ONE fixed blade for city living, what would it be and why? Price is no object.

Definately something double edged and comfortable in all grips. Max blade length as possible :)

I was going to say Dozier New York Special, but the Straight Personal is a bit smaller and more unobtrusive.

Josh and RH beat me to it...
Dozier straight personal is the best fixed small blade out there, in my opinion of course. I carry mine pretty much everyday.

"One fixed blade for the city..."

New York: Dozier Straight Personal or his K-9 utility.

Mogadishu: Livesay Model 121 Recon Combat Machete

Other variations depending on where I might be in between those two...

:D

Dozier Straight Personal or Personal Utility depending on your blade shape preference. Small, easily concealable and cuts like a demon!

I carry a fixed blade often in the city, and I love the neck peck by CRKT. If it was the only blade I could ever have, I would get a custom version that was slightly longer, had pretty handle scales, and probably made of talonite. I think neck knives are the way to go for fixed blades in the city.

another great little knife is the model jk29 Jones Brothers neckknife I have one in D2 with ironwood scales its sweeet.

i would choose my bud nealy pesh kabz 5" w/MASS sheath system, IF bud ever finishes recoating the blade for me lol. he also made me a MASS system for it, and it should really work well

right now my favorite is my polkawski 4" companion, a helluva knife imho, but i think the MASS will make the nealy better for how i carry (maybe)...............

The forthcoming Simonich Crowfoot looks like it would fit he bill nicely. And of cource anything by Dr. Blackwood.

szabo's filipino box cutter in a cross draw sheath.

if $$$ wasn't a factor I'd a Strider AD or MFS

I've been looking for the PERFECT small fixed blade for every-day city carry.

Lately I've been carrying the Blackwood -- the Carter is a little too small, and the Colorado Cutlery sheath rides higher than I'd like. It's also carbon steel, and I guess I prefer stainless for every-day tasks.

Just bought the S30V Patton hunter -- I'm thinking that will make a pretty good every-day utility sort of knife as well.
