See this thread in Gallery to see what I have been working on as a city blade.
I think city fixed blades should be functional and good looking. The knife ipictured in that thread has a satin finish and a green handle, so it is nice and subdued and all that. But it also looks beautiful (I think), and wouldn't look scary with a brown leather sheath.
