In my old neighborhood in Brooklyn ,about 30% Norwegian ,Trygve wouldn't have been so rare though I don't remember anyone who had the name !

Trygve --the Y is pronounced as the I in indian. The E as in egg.

I just had to take the word of my family on how we have traditionally pronounced it.
