One-hand traditionals?

OK Gryffin,
please let me know, it you really shortened the spyblade  , I thought about it before. I hope the blade will not loose his hardness by the heat from the grinding (right word ?)
Yup, did it last night. I used a cut-off disk on my Dremel, and a lot of dunking in water to preserve the hardening. (zit zit zit dunk, zit zit zit dunk, etc.) Seems to have worked pretty well, actually. I used a file to smooth the spine, but I slipped a couple times, and have a few stray "zits" to polish out before I take photos. :)

I'll hafta measure it tonight; I'm at work and it's at home.

I cut it down to just where the belly started on the spey, which took about a half inch of overall blade length off. It looks even shorter than that, though, because of the new profile, but it's still plenty of blade. I like a sheepsfoot/wharncliffe because it's easy to control; if it's too long, it can get unwieldy.

Overall, the Double Duty now looks just like the Double Cross, just bigger. The blade proportions are about the same.
