One-handed Folders

Be careful about getting into automatics. Many of them are going to be harder to close than you might like: you have to push that spring back in place.

I just tried out my Boker Subcom, Trance, and M-Type. Designed by Daywalker, who participates on our Boker forum. All similar framelock mechanisms. Fairly lightweight for the strength of them. Easy to open and close and very good ergonomics.

You might like the Boker Copperliner. It has a thumbstud and a simple linerlock, but otherwise, it's more of a slipjoint style.

I would suggest you consider the SOG Mini-Vulcan or Visionary I as options. I have the Mini-V, but the Visionary is similar and I suspect is quite good. One handed operation is no problem with these blades.

Depends on the model. I have the SOG Tac on my desk at the moment, so I gave it a go and I can close it one-handed fairly easily. That said, there is no compelling reason (other than intrinsic coolness and some VERY odd situations) to get an auto over a more standard folder.

From personal experience, the Benchmade Axis-lock is the most comfortable to use one-handed, so that would be my suggestion.
