One hour knife

I would love to see a show called "American Bladesmith" and done like "American Chopper" or "American Hotrod".

I can do these in 15 minutes each.Yes that is from start to finish. The steel I use is already heat treated.Stock removal for the buckskinner and reinactor crowd..Been selling these for years at local gun shows and craft shows.

I also would like to see a show about Knifemakers done in the OCC Chopper style.

Thanks....They are not anywhere near JS quality...But the market I make them for doesnt care about that anyway:D

I think it would be cool to give each maker about a month and do it like Biker Build off except Knifer Build off? :D

Carry Bruce's idea of using pre-heat treated material one step farther & use something like stellite or talonite and the one hour blade really becomes a distinct possibility for guys that aren't as fast as Bruce. Now 15 minutes is just smokin , what type of fasteners on the stag Bruce ? Kind of look like copper rivets , nice lookin Blades BTW

I use allot of brass pins on these, but I also like to use some coat hanger material also, copper wire would look good hadnt thought of that:cool: ...I just use pieces of scrap antler (like cracked or small whitetail) odd scraps of wood and just what ever I have laying around the shop that I feel wont work on a real nice knife. When I do these I wait till I have enough material to do a batch of them,The last batch was 24 in 6 hours, makes like a production line when doing them this way.
