Good looking, but it'd be even better if the top of the grind ran parallel to the edge, as opposed to being straight and at a somewhat random angle as it is.

I'm just the opposite . i think it is fine as it is. To me that means that the tip will be narrowed down enough so it will slice through any material. I hate it when I see a very nice grind then when you look down at the tip is a large wedge to try to get it to cut. That is my opinion. Mike

Not only a beauty, but looks like a real workhorse. Very well designed and executed ...Sheath?

Looks to me like it would be a great knife to use. I like he design for a skinner, and like the fact that you moved the handle length back from the blade on the spine.

If using it as a skinner, down inside the animal you are cleaning that pulled back handle design could be really nice to keep from catching on things and gathering meat "goo".

Nice job!

LOL! that's how mine start out....but normally they don't end up that way....I "fix them" until I end up with this look, normally.

Thanks for all the input and kind words. Got a couple more over in the knife makers gallery.

I like it, that wood is beutifull. I personaly like the angle of the grind line, means a little more metal near the plung.

Very nice, lovely handle and looks like a nice design. I visually prefer a parallel top grind line, but I think functionally this is probably better giving a bit more distal taper.

May I ask what the handle spacers are made from?

Thats a good looking knife. I like the grind lines. I also like the spacer. I think it cmpliments the wood, and gives the knife a south western flavor.

JASPERDOG --- I rarely compliment knives but I personally feel you designed an elegant knife. Being an engraver, I would have perfered an elongated hilt with bolster to scratch on but all in all , Well done.

I really like your handle designs and the way you execute them.

Keep posting your latest, Fred
