Well, my wife and I found out that she's pregnant. Yay! Finally, Delica is getting a little brother or sister. I'm already thinking of what knife-related names we can give to this baby :D

Congratulations! But pls don't name the baby Dodo....
(you DID say knife related names!)

I'm thinking Endura for a boy, and Sage for either sex. My wife likes "Yojimbo" but she pronounces it yo-him-bo. No Merlins or Dodos, no Salsas or Harpies. Dragonfly? Jester? Ladybug? Manix? Temperance? Ocelot? Not very good baby names LOL.

I'll keep searching. Chinook, Native, Caly, Tenacious, Volpe, Spyker, Swick, Spot, Kiwi, Tasman, Hunter, Impala, Worker, Rescue, Moran, D'allara, Police, Gunting, Cricket, Spin, Persian, Stretch... not suitable for babies?
Sal, you need some new knife models so I can name my kid after one

Kopa seems nice, as does Millie. Centofante seems nice, although it already belongs to somebody as a name.

just dont name him spyderfly :D
this thread remembered me of an episode in seinfeld, ..."7"...
maybe Sal would be a good name, that would actually be a name, and still be connected to spyderco

Sal or Eric would be cool. Maybe I should think about the baby's health and comfort before I think up knife-related names for him or her? Ehh.

Congrats!

Remember you're naming the person who will choose your retirement home with your firstborn. ;)

Here's Delica, hopefully the new one will look just as nice...

I'm so glad she looks like her mother.

J-

Congrats...On the New's and on having a wonderful healthy daughter already...We've got one on the way n my house as well. Good luck with the name thing... THere's always Tasman, Temperance, or "Cara" or "Robin" after the bird line...

Man, I would just straight up go for "Military". You could shorten that up to Milt, or Terry, and it would be just fine. The world needs more kids named Milt anyway.

Or, you could go with Salt Rock Nieporte. "Salt" is actually a pretty dope name for a boy, and if you can think of a cooler middle name than "Rock", you are a better man than I. Chinook is pretty cool, but for whatever reason it sounds more like a girls name than a boy. If you have another girl, I think Chinook would be pretty high on my list, actually.

I think Barong sound very manly.
Your daughter is absolutely charming.

I think Chinook sounds too much like "Schnook." But that's me.

Maybe "Temperance" or "D'Allara" for a girl? "Rock" sounds great for a boy, like TimboKhan said. Though you have to worry that he's going to be teased Charlie Brown style by his wife when she's out with her girlfriends:

Friend#1: I married a doctor
Friend#2: I married a lawyer
Spouse: I got a Rock.....

Congrats to you, too, Rescue Riley!

I wish my Dad was a knife nut :(, how old is Delica? and does she own her own Delica? :D

She just turned seven on September 11th. She has her own Delica, but I keep it put up because she's been trying to reason that it would be good to take to school to peel apples at lunch.

You could always name a baby "Sal," after the owner and founder of Spyderco.

If it's a girl you can go with Kris and nobody will even connect it to a knife till you tell them. SuperHawk and T-Mag would get some attention for sure for a little boy! (especially if you cut his hair in a Mohawk!)
Citadel for a girl? Adventura for either? Shabaria for a burly boy? Ocelot for a graceful girl?
:D Just kidding other than Kris ;)

If it's a girl, he could name her Jill, after the foremost Spyderco collector in the Free World and Canada!
