I hope to have this one finished up in a day or two. I will always hang the knife up and take a good look at the profile and look to see if I need to make any changes. I went ahead and took a picture of this one. Its a fuzz over 20" overall. I added a picture of this blade right after I forged it.

ray...too cool as usual....i vote for a wip thread(now that you know what wip stands for:D).....i'd love to see how u work-especially with those cool guards and handles....ryan

Ray, I think you should have a sticky showing the silhouette trick. I see so many makers... some even VERY SEASONED, that go to make a stick tang knife and they have a handle that's half as wide as the ricasso where they meet. Almost nothing kills the flow of the knife faster than that.

Your pic is a PERFECT example of how it should be to make it flow and not stop the eye.

SWEET!!! :D  :D

As always it looks like it will be a winner

Yeah, that looks like Best of Show to me. Dang Ray, you make some of the most beautiful knives on Earth, and I'm not kidding. That's just incredible. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hey Ray,

Sweet, although I'm not much into fighters. Now that skinner is to die for. Is that the one you stacked leather and brass spacers on? Very effective! Did you epoxy the alternating layers together? How did you seal up the leather?

All the best, Phil

Me too. It's got that fast, pointy thing going Ray is so good at. When you think this thing is 20" long ... well, that's something to think about.

That Nessmuk is really fine too. I'd like to know what you did with the leather also, Ray. I hadn't picked up that's what it was, but it's sure a great look.

It's stabby, I LOVE stabby :D

Yeah I can see you need to fine tune that blade... there's like some funny wavy line thingy going on all over it, probably needs a polishing or something :p

Beautiful work as always
