One knife for a week in the woods

In the woods? BK4 for sure. Though I could also make due with my 9 or my 2.

What other tools can I bring? If the knife is the only cutting tool than a BK9 no question. If I can have a saw and/or an ax then a BK16.

BK2 for me. I need to get my hands on a 9 and a 4 for some serious dirt time before i change my mind

Can we only grab the knife, or the knife IN the sheath? Just the knife=9. Knife IN the sheath= Jungalas in Godspeed sheath with bk-16 in Godspeed sheath attached to the front.

I haven't handled a 9. Yet. So I would take a 16.

There are a lot of good BK choices. I guess it depends on what is happening (extended camping, shtf, etc.), your skill level and the other resources at your disposal. The BK9 and BK4 have been my go to knives for heavier bush work, but the eskabar makes and nice companion piece too.

If I grab my 9, the 16 comes with....gotta love the piggyback. Thank you azwelke!

Now I just need to set up a piggyback for my 4, then I'll never be able to answer this question!

What you need to do is piggy-back the 9 with the 4 and the 16 in the middle... I call that the "zombie-pocolypse survival pack"

After putting in some good use today with my brand new Bk4 it is definitely my favorite blade to date and my definite go to.
