• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

one knife for a year

Probably my SAK officer. maybe my Wave.... i use them more than anything else.

The beast we are, lest the beast we become.

I'd have to take my SOCOM with its modified pocket clip. I put the clip at the other end for tip-up carry.
It now feels like a small knife in my Levi's with its "heavy" end down and nearly nothing sticking out of the pocket.
A remarkable improvment in carryability.

I would say my Bench made Tsunami folder (model 740??) its a oldie but a goodie. (glad I dont have to make this decision though)

hmm, I still like my Genesis EDI, but I'm about to re-get a Benchmade Stryker, so probably that, one of those 2.
If I needed to chop stuff down, I'd get a Ghukri now, since they're not knives

Tough one...

Probably my Spyderco Starmate plainedge.

Actually, it would probably be my Kershaw G-10 Wild Turkey. That one is small enough for daily carry, strong enough for anything I use a knife for, and the ATS-34 on this guy really seems to hold an edge.

Jon

PS - If I had a few months to prepare for my single-knifedness<g> I'd probably start trading stuff off an find a pre-owned small Sebenza, possibly one of the "fly" series.

It is funny, because I rarely carry it, usually favoring a folder, or a more tactical fixed blade, but without a doubt, the most versatile and best cutting knife in my collection is the David Boye drop point hunter, and that's what I would take if I could only have one for a year.
