One knife in your pocket every day? Or do you rotate?

I have a problem with choosing what I want to carry every day. I wish I had one knife that was with me daily, that I relied on and wouldn't leave the house without. Instead of having that one knife I choose a different one every day and subsequently I never really get attached to any of them. One day it's the manix 2, then the American lawman, then the s90v para2, then the military, then the izula, etc...

Do you have one knife that's with you always? Or do you have a hard time choosing like me?

i am in the same boat, sometimes i see another knife i want and sell one of the knives i have to get it. i have been carrying my sng and zt0551 alot lately though.

I'm currently a one knife man. That may change but I have tried other knives and just keep falling back to the same knife over and over.

Hmmm.... should I carry the OD 1 with my white hi tops, or should I pack my composite Leek with my blue lo tops...:D They all cut, so I just grab one that's closest.

You won't realize which is your favorite until you start using them as much as you carry them. Get out and go fishing, hunting, camping or hiking. Carry 2 or 3 with you. It will soon be evident which one is preferred. If you already do this and still can't decide then only time will tell.

i bought one off the exchange about 2 or 3 weeks ago. i got serial number 48, i think 100 got out before they noticed the problems with the rust. there is usually 1 or 2 a week for sale on the exchange.

here is a pic of my zt 0551

In 1977,my usual edc would have herniated a pack mule. Got divorced, went straight from the courthouse to the hardware store, to ease my aching heart. Fell madly in love with a little Buck 309 "Companion". A divorce will change a man. I went from 3 knives edc to total minimalistic. For 5 years, the only thing carried was that knife. Believe it or not, i never found myself wanting. About 1982, a Victorinox "Tinker" sneaked into my pocket and my heart. A few years later pocket clip knives caught my fancy----bringing me back to 3 knife edc. There are still times that i only carry the "Companion". If i ever just carry one knife, it is the "Companion", "ALWAYS". Henry

I have a hard time choosing sometimes but often my choice of pocket knife is determined by the type of pants I'm wearing, where I'm going, what I'm doing, etc. The one knife I always have is my neck carried Izula. It isn't the nicest knife I own or necessarily my favorite but it's the one I know I'll have to rely on when needed.

For me, it's the Spyderco Endura 4. I have a Cold Steel Voyager that seems stronger, but the serrations are too small, the handle is too bulky and the clip is weird. I have a stainless version of the Endura 4 (I think) that's much prettier, but it got all scratched up right away, the grip is too thin and slippery and it's much heavier. I have a Spyderco Delica that freaks Southern California weenies out less when I pull it out when someone inevitably asks 'Does anyone have a knife?', but it's too small for my hands. I started with the Endura 4, tried all the other seeming improvements and came back to the Endura 4. It just fits right.

I'm a 2 to 3 knife a day guy plus a multi-tool... I know, overkill...

I like to rotate every couple of weeks. Helps me justify so many knives:D
I will admit to carrying my Military for months straight though, such a fine knife.

I have an FFG Endura 4 with gray scales. I carry traditional knives often, sometimes for months at a time, but they always wind up back in the drawer sooner or later, and the Endura goes back in the pocket. If I'm just going to work or about my daily life any old traditional folder is fine, but if I'm going camping or some other outdoor sport or can't carry a gun for whatever reason, the Endura 4 it is. If I could only have one knife, that would be the one.

At work (dress clothes) I carry one of two small traditional slipjoints - either a GEC Barlow or Case Peanut.

The rest of the time it's a Vic Spirit multitool paired with a Mini Grip.

I carry the same thing almost everyday.

Old Timer 3 blade stockman in my watch pocket or in the bottom of my right front pants pocket (USA with carbon steel and major patina :D)
Kershaw Skyline in right hand pocket
Leatherman Skeletool in left hand pocket

If I'm going to be doing outdoor stuff, then I mix it up some. I might have a fixed blade of some kind and/or usually put a bigger folder in my rear right pants pocket, along with the other three.

In polite(ish) society, I pretty much always carry my SAK Huntsman and KaBar Dozier Folding Hunter.

Off the sidewalk, it's the SAK Huntsman, Becker BK-11 and Becker BK-2.

Works for me.
