One Knife Only

I would choose a large Sebenza. Small enough to carry in a pocket, Large enough to tackle almost every job, and built like a tank to last a long long time.

Something from Grohman. Either the camper or their survival knife.

And so, to all outdoor folks, the knife is the most important item of equipment.

If there were no length laws, sheeple to scare and just the utility and durability factors to consider I would pick a Chris Reeve one-piece or perhaps a Fallkniven.

When you factor in things like length laws, PC-ness, feeble-sheeple and the like, things start looking more and more like a large Sebenza, or perhaps even a small.

You point is well taken however, we really need many knives dependant upon varied tasks and carry circumstances. I'll walk around in deer camp with a 6 inch fixed and not give it a thought, even when cutting pepperoni or the cap covering off a wine bottle.

At the country club, however, people would be calling 911 and I would opt for the small Sebenza.

Knives you can pull out without scaring people ...

At a bat mitzvah at our congregation today, there was a very crusty four-foot loaf of bread to be dealt with. The 9" special edition Chris Reeve Jeroboam I had with me had what it took to split it down the middle and a few times across into pieces that were then managable by the Sisterhood lady with the Cold Steel Vaquero Grande.

Nobody screamed.

During the week and on saturday i carry my small sebenza, i have the pocket clip removed to carry in a G2 sheath. my wife will not let me wear it to church, in which case i carry my Spyderco cricket with the aluminum handles.

If I were able,I would carry one of my Brend model 2's in D2.Something tells me the looks I would recieve might not be to my advantage.

Only one knife? It would have to be my Schrade LB7.
It's heavy and hard to open with one hand, but it just keeps going and going...

Well, it is a somewhat unorthodox congregation.

And the rabbi normally carries four or five knives - a Benchmade 705, a couple of CA-legal switchblades, among others. Besides, Jeroboam was the name of two kings of Israel (with mixed reviews in the book).
