Now that I'm fluent in the 'spydie flip' I find NO USE for the flipper. Can I, and if so - how much of the flipper can I grind off before compromising the knife itself or lock up? (I find now that I no longer have a need or use for the flipper - it is just a hindrance)

Just look at the blade, stop pin, and lockbar. Common sense is your answer...

Thanks, Blues, but I guess I was hoping for a more definitive answer.. I think you're right though - I'm (almost) sure I can figure it out by myself, but as you can probably tell - I'm NO expert at this stuff...

What are you calling a 'Spydie flip'? And how is the flipper tab a hindrance?

You don't like the fact that the flipper helps act as a guard to help stop a hand from sliding forward? And you may have no plans now, but removing and altering the knife will knock it's value down quite a bit should you ever sell it.

Guess I just don't understand removing the flipper if it isn't causing a problem. Many of my knives have features that I don't use but I'm in no hurry to remove them. To each his own but I am curious what the reasoning is.

I really enjoy the flipper tab. My only concern is that, on some models, the tab seems to be so unnecessarily large.

Your knife bro, but I wouldn't do it! If it's not causing a problem, leave it there!!

Anyone buy the aftermarket deep carry clip for their domino or dice? Been thinking about it, but not if it sucks. If any of you do - can you please let me know what you think of it? (And which one as I've seen 2 kinds available) (if not more)
Thanks
