I have for sale <quantity 3> Streamlight Sidewinder Compact II Headlamps. These headlamps can use either CR123 or AA batteries.
This is a Military grade headlamp and retails for $70 each on all of the big retail sites, plus shipping.
I actually have several that I use and they work well, these are just extras LOL. The ability to use CR123 or AA is super cool. It has a bunch of modes / levels on each color (white, red, blue or IR for your NVG guys) with a very good dial / button interface. The red and blue leds are much more useful that I have every imagined.
A cool feature that no other headlamp has, it "un-clips" from the headband holder and has a sturdy metal clip that can be attached to any MOLLE strap, backpack strap. hat etc. vertically. Also, it has a helmet mount attachment included that part yet. Lastly, it has the biggest, deepest reflector that I have every seen on an LED headlamp.
Plus, they have the Streamlight Lifetime Warranty!!
