Just wonderin'....I know this has been asked before, or something like it, but say you could have ony ONE folding knife, be it a Tactical, traditional, SAK, or whatever, what would you choose? From the collection you have right now, if you could only grab ONE folder, say the house is burning down ( God forbid) or the SHTF, and you knew this would most likely be the knife you would have with you for utiltity, for whatever comes along, what would you pick?

Please ponder this for a moment and see what you think. Please forgive me if this is a worn out topic, but it is something I think about everyday when I select my EDC for the day ( I guess it should really be called my TDC, or That Day Carry!)

I look forward to your responses! :)

I think we all think about that. But I can't answer your question ..... for me, there's no folder that's "that" knife.

FWIW, in my BOB (bug-out bag .... not "battery operated boyfriend", as the ladies would have it ;)) I have a Becker Necker.

If the house were burning down, I'd grab my wife and my drawer of knives (I don't know what order though...;) ). But to be fair to the question, I'd grab my Manix.

IN a shtf type situation id throw my stider MSC SLCC around my neck strap my 2 hell razors to me one horizontal on my lower back the other taped to my boot, reeve warrior down across my chest. clip my 2 dalton combat tiger 2's to my pockets my super 7 in the back, and get ready too rock. Id also be praying for a firearm.

but that isnt what you asked

Hmmmmmmm. if the house was burning id grab my Custom reeve cause its by far the most expensive knife i own. if i sold it i could prob get 2 busses.

If its a shtf type dealio...... probably my emerson super 7. its a great knife.

but really an unfair question, id grab my regular handled HR if i had to bail. Stick it in my reeves spec ops sheath and roll out. No folder replaces a fixed. I could find a multi tool at any sears in a shtf type situation in an urban enviornment but infi would be hard as hell to come by.

One folding knife? Vic Farmer. Second choice would be my Buck 110. The vic has a wider range of capabilities though. If SD was an issue, I'd pick up a stick, maybe whittling each end into a point too. For a folding knife I don't see many superior choices.

The bottom line? My Leatherman Wave. Versatility nonpareil.

But ideally: Keeping it to one grab and bug-out item; My Busse Battle Mistress with Leatherman Wave and a small diamond sharpener in the pocket on the sheath.

Only one folder huh. Well the one that comes to mind right away is my Schrade 8OT. The reason being that it is the best 'cutter' I've ever had.

My Elk scaled Buck 110.

Fixed, Randall Model 1-6 that I've had since 1966

Folder, Emerson CQC-12 which is my constant EDC

I'd have to get my wife and kids safe, then I'd have to have my mini manix. I'm lovin this knife. I'v never had a full flat ground blade before, now I'v got my eye set on a chinook II. Another full flat ground blade with g-10 scales. Sweet if you ask me.

I'd have to go with my BM HK-34. Sure would be sad leaving my Emerson CQC and mini-skirmish behind though.
