One Life, One Knife....

That would tuff to decide...between my large BG-42 Sebbie and my Burke Queen Rancher with stag handles and BG-42 steel...hmmm...I think it would be the Burke Queen Rancher.

Where did you bought that beauty?
Are that nickel silver bolsters?

In the nylon pouch on my belt, horizontal, just to the right of my belt-buckle.

From the collection you have right now, if you could only grab ONE folder, say the house is burning down ( God forbid) or the SHTF, and you knew this would most likely be the knife you would have with you for utiltity, for whatever comes along, what would you pick?

No question, my Leatherman Wave. Like it or not, it's a modern world and that means in a SHTF situation you'll be faced with all sorts of tasks, not just cutting. I'm thinking fixing/tweaking gear, opening provisions, etc. I just got home from a vacation in the country where I carried my Wave on my belt the whole time. I found that it's blades were actually quite functional. Not the best, but pretty sufficient.

Chris Reeve large sebenza w/micarta inlay, I have other spendy knives but this one I've abused and know can take abuse

If I had to grab a folder, it would be my Strider SMF or CRK Sebenza. They are both great "do it all" folders.

However, my SMF and Sebenza are both for sale, so that should tell you something. I am not really into folders anymore. They are far too compromised for no real benefit. I can carry fixed blades legally, and they are no less comfortable.

If I could grab any knife, it would be my Dozier Model 6. It isn't my favorite Dozier model, but it was a gift and means a lot to me.

Given only one choice, id probably go with my multi-tool. Sog powerpliers. if only a folder can be chosen, probably a strider ;)

In a SHTF scenario id be stuck with whatever i had on me (at least above mentioned powerpliers and whatever folder i carried that day, probably a strider or swamp rat) plus given access to my car or house it would be this list:

Sog Powerpliers (multitool)
Strider AR or SMF (utility/cutter/small tasks)
Busse Hell Razor (fixed blade/Big tasks)

The balance between these two knives and a multitool should get me through anything i would encounter in a survival situation for knife needs.

I wouldn't grab one knife...I'd grab my pants, as along with those pants, I'd have my Benchmade 805s & 721s, along with my SOG Deluxe Pocket Plier and Crosscut since those are my EDC's, and always with my pants.

I agree on the whole Multi-plier thing, but for a knife, I'd have to grab my Microtech Gen II LCC D/A with Ti bolsters, carbon fiber handle, and plain-edged Black TiNi 154CM blade. It just has too many memories, is such a great looking knife, and is tough as all heck.
