After getting a new echocardiogram and a 12 lead EKG and an A-OK from my cardiologist I finally got scheduled for the pre-op exam on the 18th, last Monday, for my upcoming back surgery and on the Saturday before I had a tooth break off that had been filled with a rather large filling.
I kept wondering if it would be alright until after my back surgery but it soon let me know it was getting worse and worse each passing day.

I went for my pre-op and got all squared away and was scheduled for my back surgery the 25th, this coming Monday.
After I got through my pre-op I got a hold of my surgeon's nurse and asked if I had what left of my tooth removed if it would mess up having my surgery and after about a four hour wait she called back and told me to go ahead and that I was good to go! :D

It was late Monday and close to closing time for all the oral surgeons when I started calling and they were all telling me it would be late July or August before they could see me.
I got up early Tuesday and started calling again and after talking to at least a half dozen and being told the same thing I was ready to give up and just grin and bear any tooth pain I might have while I was in the hospital because I am past ready but I dayumed sure wasn't looking forward to it, back pain has been getting increasingly worse!!!! :grumpy:
Then out of the blue one of the oral surgeons offices that I left a message with Monday called me back and said they had an opening for today!!!! :D
So I set it up and then they called back and said they had a cancellation and would I like to come in earlier and of course I said YES!!!! :D

And now I'm setting here a very happy camper with what was left of the tooth gone and thanking The Powers that be that all went well.
So now I am all ready for Monday and don't have to worry about any possible other pain interfering with my stay in the hospital.

And if you're interested I will in the brand new Spine and Specialty Hospital HERE in Tulsa. There are several advantages with one being all of the rooms are private with a window on ground level.
Another benefit is the diet there, you can even get rib eye steak!!!!

I was told I would be in at least three days so it will be later next week when I'm able to get back on here. I'll miss everyone! ;-)

Are you kidding?! They're going to open the curtains and sell tickets for folks to watch you dance around in your hospital gown (which never seems to meet in the rear). :D :D :D All kidding aside, enough smoke for a three alarm fire will ascend on the 25th...........do you prefer cedar, sandalwood, patchouli or sage??? God bless....................jn

I'm glad for the great news, and I will be praying for you for sure!

Enjoy the steak! Almost sounds worth it...
