one more reason to carry my BK9 (and a gun)

Dont worry about it Woody. You thought you were showing us something new, not your fault someone was trying to fool you. We understand that.

Back to Becker knives. :)

thanks man, im starting to think this guy was trying to spook me (or guilt trip me) into loaning him an old Remington '06 i have by "showing me" what hes dealing with on his property.

It's not a problem at all man, there is a lot floating around that gets claimed as original. Giving ya a hard rime more than anything.

And I don't doubt it one bit that mountain lions, and no tellin' what else are out there. We have all seen evidence of one thing or another at some point.

I would never loan a gun to someone trying that hard to borrow one. A used rifle in your neck of the woods is cheap. My bet is there might be a reason he cannot obtain one himself, like a court order.

This for sure. IMHO, anyone living on land or in a rural area without a firearm is suspect, at least until I get to know them. Besides, if he doesn't own one how much skill could he have in handling it? He probably learned gun handling while a Navy SEAL in Vietnam:rolleyes:

I wouldn't loan a gun period.

With friends like that, you have even more of a reason to carry a bk9 :D

ive loaned one out to other hunters on a couple occasions. i actually have a couple "beaters" that are kept around for that purpose, so that doesnt bother me....but i DONT sell em.
