One more wicked edge question

Hey guys,

Got one more question about the wicked edge :D

So I'm getting all standard stones plus the 800/1k stones, then I'll be getting micromesh sheets (AO) in grits from 800AO, 1500AO, 2400AO, 4000AO, 12000AO and finally I'm getting two sets of strops, one to be used with the 5 micron diamond paste and 3.5 micron paste and the other to be used with my 1 micron boron carbide and .5 micron chromium oxide.

Question is which strops should I get? I was looking at the balsa because they don't have as much give as the leather and so it's more difficult to round and edge, and I was reading about the scratching that is present from leather when in the sub micron level.

Kangaroo strops are the hands down winner if you're looking for super high polish.

I figured, your posts over on your forum were very interesting! I think I'll pick up kangaroo for the 1 and .5 and leather for the 5 and 3.5 then.
