One of a kind Benchmade

Guys, NGK is a legit seller. This would not be even close to the first time a one-off design proto would have left the BM factory and made it into the marketplace. Why all the doubting? Look at the pics. Everything about this knife looks correct. My money would be on what Michael already stated: That is is an early exploration of a color that BM decided not to move into production. They don't put protos that are still in the testing phase like that in their system, so they would have no record of it. And if you've ever called or emailed BM with a semi-complex question, you know that getting an answer from them is like pulling teeth. Many BM collectors know more about the company and its products at this point than the majority of the employees. My guess is whoever bid on and won this item is a BM collector and understood what this knife was from the beginning. $400 is actually a pretty good price for a one-off BM, and gives this collector some bragging rights now

I don't think there was ever a question of NGK's integrity and when Mr. Dye answered, the question of what this knife is, was answered for us.
