** GONE PENDING TRADE **

I have a MINT/NEW one of a kind Big Heafner Model#17 in cryo treated D2 tool steel. I removed the handles and had the entire knife coated in Aluminum Titanium Nitride, this is an extremely tough coating that probably will never wear off unless chopping concrete :D The coating has a charcoal look that in the right light gives off a slight purplish hue. I decorated the handle slabs on a bridgeport putting slots & divots in the micarta with different size ball endmills, I also put a lanyard hole in. Ken Heafner has a hole in the tang for cryo treating but doesn't put it in the handle slabs?? This knife is Awesome! it will bite deeper and out chop a Cold Steel Trailmaster & SW BattleRat, and holds a great edge!!
Also, it comes with a black leather sheath.
Check out www.heafnerknives.com to get specs/dimensions etc.. He also offers free resharpening(you pay return shipping) and has a lifetime warranty.

Ask me for Pics!! :D

I have to say, the pictures on his website do not do the knives justice. But, more to the point, the ergonomics are deceptively well executed. I have a Model 4 wide belly skinner that incidently I got from Slaytanic. I don't really skin anything unless you count chickens but the edge holding and blade design are excellent. I've used it as an all around camp knife to great pleasure. Darrells comtomizations are very cool by the way. He's right about the Aluminum Titanium Nitride coating. Very tough. I may be bias because Darrell is such a cool guy but the knives speak for themselves.

BTTT.... :D
