Even though both of the links that you provided are in Russian , at least a little information can be gained from the second link regarding the handles . The first link does not help . Am I to understand that the blade was made and heat-treated completely from raw steel by someone who is not affiliated with Spyderco? Is that correct?

Yes Chris, this is a custom work, and I don't remember is Spyderco has ever been involved in any custim projects. The only factory parts in this knife are liners, screws, washers, lanyard tube, and clip
