Stephan, I sent you an e-mail. So, is that your Peterson in one of the shots in your gallery? I need to get another Peterson some day. As off now - all Nordings. Heading out to the shop to fire one of 'em up right now.

yep, my wife gave me that peterson, my favorite pipe,

i have a couple other peterson's and my other favorite is a handmade by a good friend Alan Longmire (if you wanna drool at some tomahawks and pipe hawks, look him up)

Let me know the day you plant the bamboo or wisteria. I will enjoy kicking your butt.

LOL

Just kidding about the butt kicking but think twice about bamboo. It will take over a huge area in a few years.

used to use moose antler to test there blades. We would put a chunk on the table at shows and when asked what it was we would ask if the person had a knife on them, beings we did this at shows 99% did.We would then hand the antler to them and tell them to go at it and see if they could shave some off..only took a minute to dull there knives...and I saw quite a few high end blades fail that test.We would then hand them one of our knives and it never failed to shave after the abuse...

Moose antler ehh.

only scrap stuff i have around is whitetail which isn't as tough as moose, but my knives do that one great.
I'll have to get some moose antler and give it a shot.

Steve, give it a try.Moose antler doesn't have marrow like deer antler so it's much harder.I have little doubt your blades will pass that test

Extremely impressive! Hmmm Stone Mtn model....

Beautiful, isn't it? I am glad I clicked on this thread because I had not been to Stephen's site before.

Now, Stephen, about that Peterson, your wife has good taste.
