One of my own

Wow, thanks for all the kind words guys....

I've been making knives since last fall, I'd tried a couple times before but really jumped into it as a winter project... I work in my basement and have been slowly building my own equipment as time and funds allow, right now I have my own 1x42 belt grinder and a heat treat furnace and milling machine made from a drill press..

I guess this one is folder # 6, I've done a couple liner locks and friction folders, but I really seem drawn to the traditional style slippies.

Thanks again for the great response...

You asked for it!

Here's my first try at integral bolsters, scrap yard brass, Tuya burl scales, O-1 blade and spring, 3 3/8" closed, I've since fixed the nail nick and made it crescent shaped...

This one I made for my girlfriend, its 2 1/8" closed, brass bolsters/liners, O-1 steel, my first try at dying and jigging bone

Can anyone tell my how to have the pics show, not just the links?

Thanks

Robin, put img where you were putting url and you'll have it.

To get just the images to show, once you've uploaded them to a website, use the image button when you type your post, just put the URL of the image in the pop-up window, and it'll insert it for you.

By the way, beautiful knives, you do some really good work!

Great work, especially if you just got serious this winter. I like the way the lock back had that nice taper on the back bolsters and on the front. Those sharp edges on those brass and wood (beautiful scales, btw), lockers have been a turn off for me. That one looks comfortable.

Very nice Barlow, too, Lucky girlfriend.

Prince, I like the pocketability of the top one. However I'm afraid that I've never gotten to really like that handle profile for some wierd reason.
The Barlow on the other hand, is the one I'd pick of those 2.
Of them all, I'd probably go for the first one.

They all look to have great f&f, and I agree with my good freind SunnyD - you have talent! One of these days when I have some money...
