Hello dear friends,

With God's good will today i present you a novelty in our portfolio - a full size one off titanium frame lock folder - 'Murder Hornet' - a solid frame lock with an impressive look.

Built around a titanium 'core' this folder is a gorgeous cutter.

An aluminium/vanadium alloy, Grade 5 TA6V titanium offers an excellent compromise between mechanical strength, toughness and ductility hence it was the choice for the frame of the folder.
The detent ball is high quality ceramic for an ever lasting smooth action without deformations.

All screws are precision machined black oxidized steel, the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel so no wear in there even after prolonged years of use.
The blade slides on phosphorous bronze washers with 'grease pockets'.

The blade is made using the high carbon W2 tool steel at 63 hrc (beware it is not rustproof but you know me - i am the carbon steel guy :D), with a high flat grind, clay hardened and a hand finished mirror polished and etched that shows a gorgeous 'misty' hamon on dark background. The blade comes razor sharp and is correctly centered.

'Murder Hornet' features on short:

- Grade 5 TA6V titanium - stonewash finish and golden anodized to match the theme.
- phosphorous bronze washers with 'grease pockets'.

- pivot has 'golden' finish aluminum countersunk washers (other colors can be purchased separately for you to customize it on your liking).
- custom back spacer - honey comb cell.
- custom one off thumb stud.
- 'Murder Hornet' 'logo' cut in both blade and handle.

I've had a few days with the Murder Hornet in pocket now. Every now and again I receive a blade that blows my expectations out of the water. This has certainly been one of those.

This thing is a pleasure and an honor to own and carry. A fantastically slim and sleek design and excellent execution. Has a classy and old school feel to it, Bogdans attention to detail is evident every place you look.

Stand outs for me are the blade shape, grind and finish. It's slicey with an excellent edge. One of the best looking and most functional thumbstuds i've handled. Very generous lockbar access, classy and classic acoustics. I appreciate the simple backspacer design as well.

It had a touch of lock stick, which I fully expected on a handmade, custom knife. Put a little pencil on it and it's already worked almost completely out.

He added a pocket clip for me, i've carried it with and without. It's in a Sharp and Fiery clipped pocket slip now. I believe that is the best fit for this one and is primarily how I'll carry it.
