well, some of you guys know why I'm listing more stuff, but here is one I was hoping to hang on for as long as I can. Haven't even had the chance to carry it but I have fondled it.
This is a one-off Ryback EDC by Kevin Wilkins, probably the 3rd Ryback EDC he built, and I don't think he has built many. The fit and finish is extremely impressive. This one is a one off as it has special traction grooves in the handle, and is the first one that Kevin has done on a Ryback (in fact I haven't seen him do this on any of his folders).
Has a gorgeous 3.7" long (and 1.5" wide) Odin's Eye Damasteel blade featuring a hairpopping razor sharp edge. Titanium handles. This knife is a pleasure to own and to use. And it really sits well in the pocket.
Blade is centered, lock-up is perfect, opening and closing is buttery smooth (I might add that engaging the lock produces a clack that only be described as pure aural nirvana), ergonomics is spot-on and that Odin's eye blade is just heaven. As you know, Damasteel is also a perfect user bladesteel with the powdered RWL34 component gives it good edge holding and ease of sharpening.
Kevin no longer takes custom orders and this knife is really a testament to his knifemaking skills. Just look at the little details - screws are flushed with the handle, clip is sunken in (like on a Hinderer), the blade sits perfectly within the frame with no parts jutting out, the special pivot screw, jewelled and anodized inner surface of the handle etc.
I'm asking what I have in it only plus my shipping and 3.5% paypal costs.
$xxx shipped, paypal fee included for this one off masterpiece.
Pics below are borrowed from Kevin and really show how great the knife is.
