Hello dear brothers,
With good God's will here we go with this luxurious puukko of which presentation will follow.
It is indeed a one of a kind piece and an exclusive appearance through luxurious materials and carefully detailed finish.
The 1095 carbon steel blade is a very aggressive design; it was clay hardened for a misty hamon and wears a razor sharp scandi zero grind and a fake back edge.
The handle itself is a jewel through the value of the materials and only exclusive parts were used here. I can say that this is the most luxurious one i have ever made by now. The main body is made out using the most sought after ebony, the A grade Gaboon ebony that was polished to a high gloss. Following it we have a 10000 Years Old piece of stabilized Siberian wooly mammoth Ivory that matches the ebony by a hand carved depression.
The spacer between the main body and the bolster is a superb piece of Swedish Damasteel® 'Super dense twist' (stainless) that was shaped, hardened, etched and polished to really look like a jewel; this material is expensive and beautiful indeed .
Bolster, the bolster is a very intricated and as small as it is, it consists of 7 parts: 2 pieces of A grade desert ironwood, 2 pieces of A grade Gaboon ebony, 1 liner of Finnish A grade reindeer antler, a fine strip pf 10000 Years Old Siberian mammoth white ivory and a piece of A grade water buffalo antler. This piece eat my nerves and my time but in the end i am happy that i managed to put it together in this jewel knife.
Overall it is app 7.3" with an app 3.35"blade.
The price for this unique knife is 275 usd (please add 35 usd for a nice vegetable tanned thick ox leather sheath made by my lovely wife - on request).
