Chris Reeve spilled the beans in the Woodsmonkey.com mp3 interview. The one piece line is going away. Yet the showcase at New Graham is still pretty well stocked up with them. (Didn't see any 9 inchers however). What's the deal? Where's the mad rush? Get 'em while you can folks. I liberated mine from the bonds of the layaway closet the other day. The DOB indicates that it's been sitting in the showcase a while. Anyhoo, what a fantastic piece! Don't know what I'll use it for. Well, when TBS airs Rambo marathons I'll probably strap it on my belt and sit in my Lazy Boy with my headband on. :jerkit:

Seriously. Get these before they're gone. I don't know where you'll get a better knife in this style. I suppose you could order a hollow handle Randall and wait 65 months. Er... No brainer?

Go to Woodsmonkey.com and download the chris Reeve interview. It's very informative and a must for any CRK enthusiast. Besides, it's free. Which is like, WAYYYYYYyyyyy cheaper than the CRK dvd.

I LOVE the Chris Reeve One-Piece Knives. I have 15 of them. I wished I lived a 150 years ago and could carry one for EDC, but I am sure people in town would freak if I had a Shadow I strapped to my belt. They are ALL Excellent knives. I would not hesitate to take any of them in the field and have to rely on them in a life threatening situation. I personally like the spear point models the best. I have a couple clip point and have throught about selling them, but I think I a going to keep them ALL. I should also pick up some of the ones I do not have. I know I wanna get a Skinner one of these days. I agree with "Harry Callahan".........EVERYONE OUT THERE, if you EVER thought about getting one of these knives, DO SO NOW !!. They are the BEST hollow handle knife ever made I Believe. Better than the Buckmaster, better than Randall. I have a Buckmaster and I like it, but it just does not compare to a CRK. I am NOT going to wait 5 1/2 years for a randall, they can keep them. I do know, I can call CRK and they will ship me one the same day. Get'em While You Can !!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose I should pick up a couple more before they are actually gone for good.

I could do with a Ubejane and one or two others too.

This news is hard to believe. I always considered the One-Piece Range and Sebenzas the staples of the CRK line. :(

I was shocked myself, I was waiting for a new model of the one piece knives, now I hear they are going away. I forgot to ask Chris about it the other day when he called me. It will definately be a sad day when they quit making one piece knives. If anyone likes certain models, I would buy hem now !!!

Yep, I just confirmed this news with Heather. Production of all One-Piece knives will end in late 2009. I'm still in shock.

I also figured the one piece line to be so well done they would always be made. I guess it is time to save and pick up one or two more before the end of production.

Darn it! I have yet to purchase any knives from Chris Reeve simply because I'm a "poor college student." I guess I'll have to figure out how to get a one-piece before they're gone. This is too bad, because I've always considered the Chris Reeve one-piece line to be the grail knives of hollow handled knives.

From what I understand is the reason. Some of the machining is still done in South Africa and the guy that does them wants to retire and for them to be completely done here would put the price Very High, so that is the reason why. I believe this info is in the Chris Reeve interview on woodmonkey. I have to listen to the whole thing, but I did hear that part of it. Its a shame, the One Piece CRK are Legendary and will Me Surly Missed !!! I give the One Piece Line :thumbup: Forever And Always !!!

From listening to that interview it would seem that is indeed the case.

Its a shame but all good things come to and end as they say.

I think this really SUCKS I have 4 or his hollow handle models and a Gb. I was hoping for more of the Hollow handle ones to come out.

I was hoping for more of the Hollow handle ones to come out.

Same here. My only One-Piece is a Mountaineer 1, but I was hoping/waiting for the "Scout". :(

I was also hoping that the Scout would come out too.

I have no patience to wait :(...look upper left. Mine only differs from my good friend Pitor's by mine having a upper false edge added. Which I like for fire steel striking. But Pitor's is the master design! I just love mine ...it's the ultimate CRK onepiece EDC.:)

I think they should let some esle take over making the one pc hollow handles if someone wanted to. Using diff steels and designs :) jusy my thought

I can only imagine what these will sell for on eBay in the years to come.

Wow....this is a surprise to read. :( There goes the rest of my yearly knife budget, definitely have to get another one or two immediately.
