One piece of gear

My K&M match safes. I have one each in brass and aluminum, and they are beautifully crafted, but I really just don't find myself ever wanting or needing matches.
I still end up carrying one in my bag but mostly for the backup button compass, and have never used a match. They are storm matches, however, might be worth having to start a fire in wet conditions and my bic breaks.
If I ever get an urge to do the traditional gear only thing I guess I am all set, or maybe I can just store tinder in them, and keep it dry.

Magnesium fire starter, or flint and steel, Very impressive to start a fire this way, But carrying a Bic lighter in a zip lock bag is much easier.

Stuff I want but don't need, Fallraven jackets, Filson Tin cloth jacket,Swanndri bush shirt and most redundant of all a version of the Tracker knife that he forged in the Hunted movie .

I won't go to the argument with anyone here and I carry firesteel too, but most of the time I just make things more convenient and light up with zippo.

I love my fjallraven jacket, but wouldn't have bought it at retail, even if it was worth it (which I'm sure it was)
I really want a really good ax, but I never use one here, a machete does most of the work, and really, I never get to light a fire besides in a campground anyway.

the other day the gatewood cape got posted on a different forum for sale section because the guy didn't fit in it was was 6'2" and I still had the urge to buy even though I know I don't fit in it being 6'5"
