• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Edit: Sorry guys I was not trying to put down other knife preferences or companies with this thread, I was simply attempting to share a laugh :o I hope nobody got offended by this, I'm fairly new to bladeforums, though I've been a member for a few years I've only been active since this Spring so I have yet to fully understand proper form.

I like them for their aesthetics. Old-fashioned brass and horn always just feel so warm in my hand. It's a gentleman's fare, and it will cut as well as any "tacticool" knife. It's just as safe, too, if you're using it properly.

I like 'em for the same reason I hunt with a Winchester Model 94. I like 'em for the same reason I drive a Chevy Truck. I like 'em for the same reason I raise most of my own food. And I especially like 'em because you can't buy em at Wal-Mart!

I'll take my "tacticool" blades anyday. I just buy ones with awesome steel I guess. Also I didn't know I was on failchan. ;)

I like them cause they're purty. Easy to carry. And like you said, they work just as well.

And a box cutter will outperform your Barlow when cutting boxes. Does that mean Barlows are junk? Nope.

One thing about a knife related website is that you will find folks that enjoy all different sorts of knives.
I think it is fine to have favorites, but after you get somewhat skilled at contributing on a forum like this, put downs of any type of quality cutlery are generally considered to be poor form.

I guess I should keep that in mind, I'm a fairly new member, really only got active a few months ago, I suppose I just naturally assumed everyone browsed through as many memes a day as I do and would find this funny :o Thanks for the heads up I'll be sure not to stir up any more stuff like this haha
