This story is about a knife company that exceeded my expectations after a very bad accident. Several years ago my son was a Scout and during a camping event, the propane tanks for their cooking stove leaked and during their absence on a project their entire camp burned to the ground. Over 30 tents and all their equipment went up in flames. No one was injured but the explosion and fire was visible to the scouts from 1 mile away! All their equipment was lost. Even their canteens and eating equipment melted. After the fire, I found the blade of his much loved folding knife but not much else was left! I sent it back to the knife company to see if it could be salvaged, fixed or repaired. I offered to pay whatever it cost. A week or two later my son received a brand new folding knife FREE of charge. This knife company was BUCK. To this day, I feel that Buck knives have a customer service and knife warranty that is without equal!

Buck went above and beyond, for sure. Very glad the kids weren't there when the camp blew!

Glad to hear Buck is still providing this level of service and care. Also glad everyone there was OK. We make a habit of turning the valve off at the tank when not in use for just this reason. We had a similar incident at the last outing while making coffee in the morning. Thankfully our only loss was all the hair on my right arm.
